Laughter is often described as the best medicine, a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers. Yet, when it comes to women, laughter is not always received with the same appreciation. Take, for example, Vice President Harris. Her laugh, often spontaneous and infectious, has been scrutinized and ridiculed by political opponents. But for many, including myself, her laughter represents a form of joyful abandon that is not only empowering, it’s enviable.

I hope her team does not suppress her laughter. Throughout history, women's laughter has often been policed, criticized, and diminished. In literature, media, and politics, women’s expressions of joy are frequently subjected to sexist commentary. Regarding Kamala Harris, her laughter has been mocked by various political figures and commentators.

Despite the criticism, women like Kamala Harris's laughter holds significant power. It defies societal expectations and challenges the restrictive norms on women’s behavior. Harris's laugh is not just a reaction to humor; it embodies resilience and joy in adversity. In a society that often tries to suppress women's voices, laughter becomes a revolutionary act. Laughter becomes a way for women to reclaim their space and assert their right to exist joyfully and unapologetically.

Many women's reluctance to laugh freely is deeply rooted in cultural and social conditioning. Girls are often taught to be demure and reserved from a young age. The societal expectation for women to be polite and composed can stifle their natural expressions of joy. My own laugh is too quiet. I wish I could laugh like Kamala Harris. I envy her ability to express her joy in such a bold way.

Women must embrace the power of their laughter to break free from these constraints. Kamala Harris’s laugh reminds us that joy is not a weakness but a strength. It is a testament to her authenticity and resilience. Her laughter invites us to reconsider our relationships with joy and self-expression.

Much like her political career, Kamala Harris's laughter breaks barriers and challenges norms. In a world that often seeks to silence women, her laughter is a powerful act of resistance and an invitation for all women to reclaim their joy–loudly and proudly.

I endorse Kamala Harris for President and will do what I can to get her elected.
